It houses 2000 works of both Western and Japanese art, which are divided into four categories - Ecole de Paris, Mexico Renaissance, Local Artists and Contemporary Art. The museum strives to promote regional artistic and cultural accomplishments and, therefore, holds a weekly event called "Friday Night Theatre." Here, visitors can enjoy performances, video nights or concerts free of charge. Not only does this museum showcase a wide variety of art, the building, designed by Kisho Kurokawa, is also of architectural interest. Visitors should definitely put this museum on their list of things to do in Nagoya. Other Podcasts in Nagoya: Oasis 21 Nagoya Castle |
