Located in the heart of Sakae, Nagoya's shopping district, is Oasis 21 - a futuristic complex featuring green space, a bus terminal, restaurants and shops. This is an environmentally friendly structure that features a translucent roof, called 'Water Spaceship', which contains a shallow pool designed to reduce heat transfer in the park and shops below. The glass walkway around the pool and Midori-no-Daichi Park below are excellent spots to relax and enjoy the city. In the open space below the roof is a large square for special events, as well as 32 shops. Oasis 21 is a 'must-see' for visitors to Nagoya!
